Q1 2021 Interactive Story Games Surge in Europe on Android

In the first quarter of 2021, the interactive story games category has seen significant activity on the Android platform in Europe. Sensor Tower provides a detailed look at how five major players in this genre performed during this period.

Chat Master!, developed by Supersonic Studios LTD, experienced fluctuating revenue, peaking at $169K in the week of February 1st and ending the quarter at $53K. Downloads for the game spiked at 848K in late January, while weekly active users reached a high of 1M in the same month before settling at 422K by the end of March.

Episode - Choose Your Story, from Episode Interactive, saw a gradual decline in revenue, starting at $57K and closing the quarter at $33K. Downloads also decreased over time, from 224K to 78K, and weekly active users mirrored this trend, dropping from 738K to 503K.

IGG.COM's Time Princess: Dreamtopia had a more stable revenue trajectory, with an impressive peak at $139K in early March. Downloads reached their zenith at 125K in late January, and weekly active users showed growth, ending the quarter at 209K.

Crazy Maple Studio Dev's Chapters: Interactive Stories, displayed strong revenue numbers, maintaining over $300K throughout the quarter, and concluded with $350K. Despite this, downloads showed a downward trend, from 99K to 56K, and the weekly active users count ended at 413K, slightly down from its peak of 500K in early January.

Finally, Tabou Stories®: Love Episodes by NANOBIT, witnessed a decrease in revenue from $60K to $36K. The game's downloads saw a similar decline, starting at 126K and ending at 31K. Weekly active users also fell, concluding the quarter at 168K.
